Katrina Blackwell is a Principal of Blackwell Nelson Companies. Katrina has been in the real estate and property management industry for over 24 years. Katrina is a proven advocate for her clients and is a strong negotiator when selling real estate and a thorough property manager. As a licensed REALTOR and member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors (BAR) she serves as the Qualifying Broker for BNC and holds the CAM designation (Certified Apartment Manager) through the National Apartment Association. Her background allows her the scope of expertise necessary for overseeing all aspects of managing HOA communities, rental properties, and facilitating real estate transactions.
Katrina has been directly involved in the due diligence and brokerage on a variety of real estate projects to include residential homes, owner occupied duplexes, commercial buildings, and multifamily portfolios. Katrina is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama. Katrina is married to Johnny & has two children. Katrina is a cancer survivor & has a strong passion for studying homeopathic remedies.

Roxane Nelson is a Principal of Blackwell Nelson Companies. Roxane has been in Property Management for over 27 years. Her background allows her the scope of expertise necessary for overseeing all aspects of managing physical assets, directing maintenance and repairs, and coordinating large construction and renovation projects. This background is ideal for the HOA management that is provided by BNC. Roxane coordinates onsite vendors, prepares for HOA meetings, is a primary liaison for all of the properties managed by BNC and her education, expertise, and experience all combine to provide a tremendous asset to our clients.
Roxane has been an onsite trainer, been an officer with the Birmingham Apartment Association and her professional designations include both the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation by IREM and the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation by NAA. Roxane and her husband, Jerry, enjoy spending time with their two children. Roxane also enjoys volunteering for various organizations and playing golf in her free time.

Carolyn Rakers serves as an Association Manager focusing on customer service and marketing for Blackwell Nelson Companies. Carolyn graduated form the University of Alabama with a Bachelors degree in Communication and Business. Carolyn oversees all of the HOA newsletters and community relations for Blackwell Nelson. Carolyn previously worked in Sales and Marketing in Birmingham, AL for ten years before becoming a full time mom of three boys. After being highly active as an active community volunteer, she rejoined the workforce in 2013 with Blackwell Nelson Companies. Carolyn continues managing an active family and is still an active community volunteer. Carolyn continually uses her artistic ability to decorate for school, church and community events.
Melissa Parkins is an Association Manager with over 17 years of combined experience in multi-family and HOA property management. Melissa facilitates financial reporting, property inspections, vendor relations, architectural requests and the execution of all closing documentation.
Marci Whitaker is an Association Manager responsible for financial reporting and software maintenance. Marci interfaces directly with HOA residents and Board Members to provide prompt and accurate reporting on both the Owners and HOA Board Portals.
Amy Jasinski is the front Office Manager for Blackwell Nelson Companies. Amy holds bottom line responsibility for all customer service, purchasing and maintenance scheduling.
